Dear Valued Shopify Store User,
We hope this email finds you well. We're writing to inform you about some changes we've made to improve the way products are managed in your Shopify store.
Previously, when products were imported from our app to your Shopify store, only the primary category was included in the product type.
However, in our ongoing effort to enhance product management capabilities, we've updated this process.
Previous Rule:
· Only the primary category was imported to the product type field.
Updated Rule:
· Both the primary and secondary categories will now be imported to the product type field.
As a result of this update, there may be some implications for your store's collections, particularly those created based on product types. New products may not be automatically added to collections previously set up based solely on primary categories.
What You Need to Do:
We kindly ask you to adjust the rules for your collections accordingly. Below are the specific steps you need to take:
1. Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
2. Navigate to the "Products" section.
3. Select "Collections."
4. Edit each collection affected by this change.
5. Adjust the collection rules to include both primary and secondary categories.
6. Save your changes.
By making these adjustments, you'll ensure that your collections remain up-to date and accurately reflect the products in your store. The attached pictures include the product types before modification and how to adjust the collection rules.
If you encounter any difficulties or have further questions about this update, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team. We're here to assist you every step of the way.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for choosing Shopify for your e-commerce needs.
Best regards,
The 66disco Dropshipping Customer Care Team
